I grew up near the great Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains and early on used them as my directional compass. I no longer live near these mountains still I find I’m drawn back to their mystery and beauty. In fact this has become an important annual pilgrimage… I need my mountain fix. This relationship has influenced my art and given me voice. Regardless of where I am, I love to seek the quiet of a remote place and tune my senses to all that I can feel but cannot see. The harmony and forces of nature give me an internal sense of place which I try to convey in my paintings.
